Secret of the Kraken

An epic fantasy saga by Ephie & Blue Risho

The war has outgrown the land. To save the kingdom, the Elementalists must sail into storm-lashed waters — and face what the ocean has been hiding all along.

The Story

An ocean of old bargains, and a debt the deep still remembers.

With the land war stalled, the trail turns seaward — to myths whispered by sailors and a map no dwarf will admit to drawing.

The Elementalists venture into storm-lashed waters, where emperors bargain in half-truths and a colossal Kraken guards what it was sworn to keep: clues to a scepter powerful enough to tip the balance against the wizards. In hidden cities and bioluminescent caverns, loyalties are tested and a heartbreaking choice emerges — to claim power, someone must pay the debt the ocean is owed.

Book Three of the Elementalists saga widens the map and deepens the stakes. Amber, Basil, Theo, and their friends discover that their gifts are only the beginning of what they'll need. New allies surface in the strangest corners — satyrs in need of rescue, dwarves with older loyalties, dragonettes with a mind of their own — and a tournament in the depths turns into something no one saw coming.

Written together by Ephie Risho and his child Blue Risho — the parent-and-child team whose opening volume hit Amazon's Top 20 in YA Fantasy. For readers who fell into the world of Phoenix Rising and Crodor the Ancient, Secret of the Kraken trades the siege for the storm, and the battlefield for the sea floor.
